E.L.F. Makeup and Cosmetics- Face Edition (& miscellaneous products)

Here is my final section of my E.L.F products- face products, and some miscellaneous ones.

Studio Blush, $3

Left: Candid Coral
Right: Tickled Pink

These blushes aren't super pigmented, as in one dip into them and you already have enough. I find them to have just enough pigmentation for a nice touch of colour on your cheeks. They come in a lot of gorgeous colours. The "tickled pink" colour has become one of my favourite blushes.

Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder $3

This duo is called blushed/bronzed (It looks like they've changed the names on the website... I think this one is now St. Lucia?)

I've seen a lot of websites compare this to the NARS "orgasm" blush/"laguna" bronzer duo. It's a pretty close match, yet the price is not close at all ($50 vs. $3)! I don't use the bronzer as an all-over colour because I have fair skin, but as a contour for my cheekbones. The blush colour is a very nice soft pink.

Shimmer Palette $3

These products are extremely silky and creamy. Very easy to apply. The swatches are coming off a lot more white than they look in person when applied on your face. I especially love the peachy and soft brown-ish colours. I've used these under my brows, inner corner of my eyes, top of my cheekbones, and on my lips. The little brush it comes with is also the perfect size for those smaller places like the inner corner of your eyes and just underneath your eyebrows. I top these with a powder highlight, just to decrease the chance of creasing or fading quickly.

Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter $3
High Definition Undereye Setting Powder $3

I can't seem to find the concealer and highlighter on their website.. maybe they stopped selling it? Well basically it is pretty sheer. I've combined the concealer and highlighter together for under my eyes, and put a light layer of another concealer on top. It did make the area appear brighter. If they were still selling it, I don't think I would re-purchase it though. The undereye setting powder is really smooth and does actually make a difference from what I've seen. It's very deceiving because when you open it, you see actual pieces of glitter in it. I was so confused as to why anyone would want a glittery setting powder. But once I applied it, you actually can't see the glitter! Confusing, but don't be tricked. There is also the High Definition Face Setting Powder which I don't own, but have heard very good things about.

Brushes
Powder Brush $3
Blush Brush $3
Kabuki Brush $3

As I said in my previous post about their brushes, they are very soft, and from my experience I have not had any shedding with them. I use the powder brush to apply my liquid foundation. With the flat top and density of the bristles, it gives an airbrushed finish to your foundation. The blush brush is smaller than I thought it would be when I bought it, so I use it mostly for contouring. And the kabuki brush is great for applying face powder, or a light dusting of bronzer on your face/neck.

Brush Shampoo $3
Makeup Mist & Set $3
Lotion Wipes $3
Mechanical Eyelash Curler $3

I am loving the brush shampoo. I've only used it once because I got it just a couple weeks ago, but it certainly did the job. I have a cleanser I can use for my brushes on more of a regular basis, and use the shampoo for a deeper clean. I only had to use a small amount and it literally made my brushes look brand new when I was finished. The makeup mist and set I am so on the fence about. I love the idea of setting sprays because I'll put on my makeup quite early in the morning, work all day, and hopefully not need to touch anything up. A couple times I have worn this setting spray it has made my face look patchy by the middle of the day (nooot cool). Other times, it has stayed perfect looking. It must have been the combination of what else was on my face, but it's definitely not consistently good. And the smell is not the most pleasant either. So I won't be re-purchasing this product. The lotion wipes were something I got free with my last purchase. I refrained from buying these knowing the failed attempt at a smelly (in a good way) product with the setting spray. And lotion wipes? The idea didn't appeal to me at all. And thank god I didn't spend my money on these because they turned out to be horrible. I could tell they were trying to get to a shea butter scent, but it smells more like chemicals. And as far as moisturizing goes... I didn't even pay attention because the smell was overwhelming me. I actually threw these in the garbage! The eyelash curler, well... it curls my lashes! So at $1 I'm happy!

I hope some of you got some insight about the positive products from this company, because I think there are many! Let me know what you're thinking of trying, or what you already own and love. Thanks for reading :)
